Measurements International’s (MI) series of DCCT Measurement Systems offers the best accuracy and lowest uncertainty of any commercial system available on the market today. The MI high current range extenders expand the measuring capabilities of the MI model 6010 and MI model 6242 to measure lower resistance values at higher currents with accredited uncertainties <20 ppm@10 uΩ to 0.1 ppm @ 1Ω and 0.1 ppm @ 10 kΩ being achievable.
Measurements International is the original manufacturer of the automated Resistance Measurement System. With the most current comparator experience in the industry, Measurements International DCCT measurement systems are designed using sound metrology principles. MIL has world class expertise in both DC Resistance Metrology for National Measurement Institutes (NMI’s), Primary and Calibration laboratories who need to achieve the lowest possible certified / traceable uncertainty in their calibration equipment.
Most notable customers include CERN and IHEP.
As your Accreditation partner and global support partner MIL offers leading product knowledge and applications expertise through coaching, system design, implementation, calibration services and ongoing expert support, that assures your competitive advantage with all your MI Products.
At MIL, it’s not only about the equipment or the science….It’s about what that will enable you to do, and the ease with which you can do it.The new series of DCCT measurement systems are the only self calibrating bridge systems which use a full 25 bit binary wound DCC Comparator. Self calibration of the comparator can be verified using the interchange technique when calibrating resistors. The 6010 and 6242 series bridges are commonly being used globaly to calibrate resistors and shunts as well as other manufacturer’s bridges and shunt measurement systems.
The MI 6010 and 6242 series of DCCT Measurement Systems provide the widest range with lowest uncertainty of any manufacturer. The reversing switch has the advantage that the systematic error due to current mismatch between the positive current and the negative current amplitudes is negligible. MI is the ONLY manufacturer that provides this. The 6010D Resistance Bridge is the Metrologist’s Choice for primary lab level resistance measurements. Recognized as the world’s leading Automated Resistance/Thermometry Bridge, the AccuBridge® 6010D is ideal for resistance measurements in both resistance metrology and temperature thermometer applications. With its innovative technology, the AccuBridge® 6010D’s speed, measurement accuracy, and data handling capabilities, make it the preferred primary resistance measurement system in NMIs and other primary labs worldwide. The 6010D is designed for flexibility and ease of use. Ratio Range & Accuracy-The AccuBridge® Direct Current Comparator with its binary wound current comparator technology balances current with effective resolution of 25 bits. It provides ratio measurements with an accuracy to better than 40 parts in 10-9. It covers a ratio range of from 0.0769:1 to 14:1, with a linearity of better than 5 parts in 10-9. The 6010D can perform ratio measurements with resistances valued from 0.001 Ω to 100 kΩ. A line of optional high current range extenders permits measurements down to 1 micro ohm for shunt resistance measurement applications.

Optional 10, 16 or 20 channel scanners can be used individually or together to connect to up to 40 channels of ratio measurement for up to 40 different test resistors. The 6010D is perfectly suited for stand-alone operations or you can team it with MI’s AccuBridge® 6010SW Windows®-based Operating Software for fully automated measurements, history logging, graphing, and regression analysis. Standalone operation with the 6010D’s touch sensitive display panel provides full bridge capabilities to the operator. Ratio or direct resistance measurements can be made. Multiple measurements over time can be numerically displayed or graphically displayed to best fit the user’s needs.
Full Featured Standalone or Automated Temperature OperationFor temperature applications, such as measuring SPRTs and PRTs, the 6010D can translate the resistance data into temperature units, simplifying these applications greatly using MI’s Accu-T-Cal software package.
The AccuBridge® family of bridgesThe 6010D is a high performance model of an MI Bridge. One of a family of bridges where there are various bridges optimized for different tasks; from measuring Quantum Hall Resistance standards over a smaller range of resistance but with excellent uncertainties, to others which are a better fit for secondary labs with broader range of measurements but with larger uncertainties. There are three different bridge designs which use different measurement methods to measure over 21 orders of magnitude of resistance, from 1 micro ohm to 10 Peta ohms. The Accubridge family offers the best line of bridges available for measuring the widest range of resistance.
As a stand-alone device, the AccuBridge® 6010D measures both ratio and absolute values. You select functions using the menu on the 6010D’s large touch screen display. For absolute measurements, you enter the value and related uncertainty of the standard resistor using the display’s keypad. You enter the measurement functions such as current through the unknown resistor, settle time, number of measurements, and number of statistics the same way.
You can verify the calibration accuracy of the 6010D by performing an interchange measurement at any ratio. Theinterchange technique works at all ratios from 13:1 down to 0.1.
The 6010D’s low-noise, touch screen display is interactive with the measurements, as shown in the following screen images. When a reading is complete, the average value and uncertainty (based on the number for statistics) are displayed. All uncertainty calculations are 2 sigma level.
